Have you ever wondered what the smallest and largest Peli cases are and how they’re used?

In this post we are going to look at exactly that, from the smallest Peli Micro cases, all the way up to Peli Rack Mount cases.

Peli Micro Case

The smallest Peli case is the 1010 Micro Case. The Micro Case range consists of several small cases that come with an internal rubber liner included for extra protection. They are typically used to store memory cards, keys, mobile phones, wires and recording equipment and can be customised with a separate Pick ‘n’ Pluck Foam set, allowing you to create a foam insert tailored to your gear.

Although compact, the Micro Cases are still waterproof, crushproof and dustproof like their larger counterparts and feature a carabiner, which is ideal for easy attachment while on the move.

Large Peli cases

Peli offer a variety of large cases across the Protector, Air, Storm and Rack Mount ranges and have a wide range of uses, for example, storing drones, housing large tool collections and protect broadcasting equipment, to name a few.

Cube cases

Part of the Protector range, with the same waterproof, crushproof and dustproof properties, Peli cube cases are very large and extra deep, with extra wide comfort grip handles on each side to allow for two people to lift the case. They also feature deep recesses in the lid so that multiple cube cases can be easily and safely stacked on top of each other. Peli cube cases include the option to add a mobility kit with heavy duty castor wheels to enable them to be transported effortlessly.

Peli rack mount cases

Peli-Hardigg Rack Mount cases are the largest Peli cases in the range, specially designed for those in the music, AV, entertainment and news industries. Rack cases are stackable and shockproof; coming fitted with a fully-boxed 19” steel rack with industry-standard square hole patterns, making handling tab-mounted electronics easy.

These large Peli cases are perfect if you’re wanting to protect against vibration and work in the industries mentioned above.

Here’s a handful of the largest Peli cases, and what we see them typically used for.

0550 Protector case

The Peli 0550 is a very large protective transport case with11 cubic feet (or 0.311 cubic metres) of space and is often used by the military to transport large, heavy equipment.

0500 Protector case

The Peli 0500 case is also used by the military and can be inverted and used as a pallet with an airtight cover.

1770 Protector case

The Peli 1770 Protector case is a long, deep case with wide-track polyurethane wheels with ball bearings and nylon hubs, making it easy to transport even with heavy equipment inside.

1630 Protector case

The Peli 1630 Protector case is a large, deep case with wheels that can be used to store drones, or even for tool control, etc.

iM3100 Storm case

The iM3100 Storm case is a long shallow case, favoured by the police and the military for storing long equipment, such as rifles.

1640 Protector case

The Peli 1640 Protector case is a wheeled case featuring 6 secure double-throw latches, ideal for storing and transporting drones or other large equipment.
