Shots of the Week19th February 2016 // Gareth Breeze
On a bleak and grey Friday afternoon in the North of England, surrounded by concrete and bricks and vans and drizzle of the Peli UK Goods Out loading bay, there stood a Digital Marketing Executive, dancing as if he was drunk and sun-kissed at Rio carnival. Moments before he was slumped with that end of the week lethargy we all know too well. it was thrashed away by the sound of none other than Dolly Parton, Jolene bouncing out of the warehouse radio.
In a weekend destined to be as grey and as bleak as the English climates affords us these days, sometimes we need a little distraction. To either take us away, or, better yet, remind us that our surroundings can become glorious given the right perspective.
Our favourites of this week do just that. Whether it’s with an aerial view over the Thames, the cobbled streets of Soho or the mindboggling Segrada Familia, looking at each one of these shots, the world gained a little more sparkle. So if this long and weird winter is weighing down on your weekend, have a look at these beauties, or better yet, go out and capture some of your own. Tag your shots with #peliphoto for your chance to earn a Peli Memory Card Case.
